Objective of Service

Medstar is a home medical equipment supplier whose objective is to be a responsible provider of quality medical, surgical supplies, and respiratory therapy and breathing equipment to sick and disabled patients in their place of residence. Through the safe, caring, and competent actions of Medstar's employees, our patients will be able to maintain a freer and richer quality of life.

Hours of Operation

Routine deliveries are made Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Emergency oxygen deliveries are made at all times 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. After regular working hours, and on weekends and holidays, a Medstar representative is on call for inquiries and oxygen emergencies. Complaints and Recommendations

Patients are encouraged to register complaints or recommendations about any aspect of care equipment or service provided by Medstar. Complaints or concerns are confidential and are acted upon immediately.

Geographic Area

Services are provided for customers in New York City, Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester, Rockland, Orange, Putnam, Dutchess, Ulster, Greene, Columbia, and Sullivan counties. Northern New Jersey and Southern Connecticut are also included in our coverage area.

Payment Policy

Depending on the service, equipment, or supply, payment may be available through Medicare, Medicaid, or other third party insurance carrier. If there is no reimbursement source, or if the item is not covered by the insurance carrier the client or their representative is responsible for payment.

Criteria for Services

• Valid heath insurance claim number, or agreement to pay privately
• Insurance claim form signed if applicable
• Signed prescription from physician, and
• Signed delivery form and understanding of Medstar's "Rights and Responsibilities" statement
